COUNTRY CLUB HISTORIC
Country Club Historic, as the name suggests, was developed in conjunction with the Denver Country Club, which is located to the south of the neighborhood, across First Avenue. Leading architects were commissioned to design homes in an array of styles. This incredible collection of masterpieces includes architectural influences from Colonial, French Chateau, Tudor, Santa Fe, and Georgian, to remarkable Denver Squares and distinct Victorians. Desirable today for its proximity to downtown, Cherry Creek, numerous city parks, and the Denver Country Club itself, this neighborhood remains one of the city’s most sought-after locations.
The L-shaped district includes 380 residences and was found to qualify as a Landmark District because of its historical, architectural, and geographical significance. The neighborhood is roughly bound by Downing St. on the west, University Blvd to the east, 1st Avenue to the south, and both 4th and 6th Avenues to the north.
